Product overview
LCA Phosphorus (P) Liquid Fertiliser is made in Australia by Liverpool Creek Aquariums. Phosphorus is one of the three core macronutrients (the P in NPK) and is used in plant energy transfer, including ATP, which supports photosynthesis and tissue repair.
Fish waste adds some organic phosphate, but high-tech tanks with strong lighting and injected CO2 often use it faster than the bio-load can replace it. This single-nutrient formula lets you raise phosphate without adding extra nitrates.
Key features
-
Targeted macronutrient: Concentrated phosphorus for dense, fast-growing stem plants.
-
Helps treat deficiencies: Used to correct lower leaf drop, unusually dark green or purple tinting, and stalled root growth.
-
Supports plant energy: Supplies phosphate for ATP production, nutrient use, and overall plant health.
-
Independent dosing: No added nitrates, so you can control phosphate as part of an Estimative Index (EI) or custom routine.
-
Pump dispenser: Easy, mess-free dosing with no syringes or measuring cups.
Water and system compatibility
-
Water: Freshwater aquariums only. Not for marine or reef tanks.
-
Livestock: Suitable for community fish, cichlids, snails, and ornamental shrimp when used at the recommended dose.
Dosing and instructions
Always follow dosage and directions on product packaging.
-
Standard dose: Add 1 pump (2 ml) per 100 litres of aquarium water.
-
Schedule: Dose 3 times per week (for example Monday, Wednesday, and Friday), with a 50% weekly water change.
-
High-tech tanks (high light and injected CO2): Increase to 3 pumps (6 ml) per 100 litres, 3 times per week. This is the maximum recommended dose.
-
Low-tech tanks (low light, no CO2): Use the standard dose 1–2 times per week.
