Often called the Horned Fromia or Knobby Starfish, the Whitsunday Starfish is a stunning geographical favorite originating from pristine tropical waters. It features a bright red or orange base beautifully patterned with prominent, raised cream-to-tan nodules or plates that give its arms a distinctly textured, marble-like appearance. This peaceful grazer is a wonderful addition to mature reef aquariums, where it moves gracefully across the rockwork cleaning up biofilm, micro-algae, and fine detritus without ever bothering your corals.
