The Tiger Tail Sea Cucumber is a striking and highly desirable scavenger, featuring a long, flexible body adorned with beautiful golden-yellow and dark brown bands or spots. Unlike some species that wander the entire tank, the Tiger Tail prefers to anchor the back half of its body securely inside a rocky cave or crevice, extending its front half across the surrounding sand bed to feed on organic matter. An added benefit for aquarists is its ability to occasionally reproduce in captivity via fission, splitting into two independent, healthy cucumbers.
