Lipstick Tang

Also known as the Orangespine Unicornfish, the Lipstick Tang is a majestic and large-growing species reaching a Max Size of 45 cm. It is easily identified by its smooth, grey-to-brown body and its striking facial markings—specifically the bright orange "lipstick" around the mouth and yellow "eyeshadow" above the eyes. On its tail base, it features two bright orange forward-pointing spines (scalpels) used for defense. They are very active swimmers and require a massive amount of open water and high oxygen levels. They have a particularly high requirement for brown macroalgae (like Sargassum) in their diet.
