EcoTech Marine VorTech MP40wQD (Mobius Edition)

The VorTech MP40wQD is the absolute flagship workhorse of the marine reef hobby. It is widely considered the industry standard for medium to large home aquariums (typically 4-foot setups). It strikes the ultimate balance between raw, wide-stream water movement and structural energy efficiency, pushing immense volumes of water without generating localized high-velocity hot spots that strip tissue off sensitive corals.

Model-Specific Attributes

• Massive Broad Flow Field: The specialized propeller blade profile throws a wide, conical water mass that gets wider as it travels across the tank. This makes it ideal for mixed reefs and SPS-dominated setups where uniform, turbulent water turnover is required across the entire rock layout.

• Thick Glass Compatibility: Equipped with heavy-duty internal magnets, the MP40 stays securely locked through standard half-inch and three-quarter-inch glass or acrylic viewing panels, absorbing sudden motor RPM shifts without rattling.
