The Rabbit Snail (often called the Elephant Snail) is an exotic, large-scale freshwater species native to the unique ancient lakes of Sulawesi, Indonesia. Characterized by a long, deeply textured, wrinkly face that resembles a rabbit or elephant, and an elongated, heavy spiral shell, these fascinating creatures are the gentle giants of the snail world. They are slow-moving, long-lived, and highly peaceful. Unlike fast-reproducing pest species, Rabbit Snails reproduce very slowly, delivering just a single, fully formed live baby snail enclosed in a tiny gel pouch at a time.
