Coral Essentials Carbonate Up is anhydrous sodium carbonate for raising alkalinity in a reef aquarium. Purity is at least 99.2%. The 1.8 kg bucket makes up to 10 litres of solution at 180,000 ppm, the same strength as the brand's Carbonate + Trace pre-mix. It can also be used in Randy's 1 and 2 mixes.

Hold carbonate hardness around 8–9 dKH. For fast-growing SPS and other hard corals, 8.5–9.0 dKH is the usual target. It can be dosed with Power Trace C, bromide, and boron.

1. Mix the powder to make up to 10 litres of solution at 180,000 ppm.
2. Dose to hold carbonate hardness at 8–9 dKH, or 8.5–9.0 dKH in a tank of fast-growing SPS.
