A classic Lake Malawi Mbuna prized for its intense sexual dimorphism. Dominant males develop a striking, dark midnight-blue to jet-black body highlighted by two parallel rows of electric neon-blue horizontal stripes. Females and juveniles remain a bright, contrasting solid orange-yellow, meaning a single breeding colony provides two completely different color displays in the tank.
