The Pyramid Butterflyfish is widely considered the "Gold Standard" for reef-safe butterflyfish. It sports a vibrant yellow body with a large white triangular patch in the center, giving it a bright and clean appearance. The head is usually a contrasting dark brown or black. Like the Zoster, it is a planktivore that prefers to feed on zooplankton in the water column, making it very unlikely to bother corals or sessile invertebrates. These are hardy, schooling fish that bring a great deal of energy and bright color to the upper levels of the tank. They are best kept in groups of three or more in larger aquariums with plenty of water flow.
