The Koran Angelfish is a classic favourite among saltwater aquarists, renowned for its dramatic juvenile-to-adult color transformation. Juveniles feature striking dark bodies with concentric blue and white semi-circular rings, while adults transition into an elegant dusty green and yellow pattern with iridescent blue edgings. They are robust and active swimmers that need substantial swimming space along with large caves in which to retreat. Due to their large adult size and penchant for grazing on soft corals, stony corals, and clams, they are best suited for large fish-only or select reef environments.
