Product overview
FritzZyme 7 is a live nitrifying bacteria liquid for freshwater. It seeds sponge, ceramic, and other filter media so a new tank can process ammonia and nitrite sooner than waiting for bacteria to grow on their own.
Use it to start a cycle, after a big clean, after rinsing media, or after medication. The cells are already active. It is not a dry spore product that needs time to wake up.
Key features
-
Live nitrifiers: Freshwater strains that convert ammonia and nitrite. Not a heterotrophic sludge blend.
-
New tanks: Helps stock the biofilter so ammonia and nitrite do not sit as long.
-
After work: Top up bacteria after media rinses, large water changes, or medicine.
-
Storage: Keep cool and dark. No fridge needed. Use within about a year.
-
Brackish: Works in low brackish water up to 6 ppt.
Water and system compatibility
-
Water: Freshwater. Low brackish up to 6 ppt. Not for full marine or reef tanks.
-
System: New and established aquariums with biological filter media. Fish, invertebrates, and plants can stay in the tank when dosing.

Directions
New tanks: 119 ml per 38 L. Established tanks: 60 ml per 38 L. Heavy stock or a stalled cycle: the new-tank dose can be raised up to 10 times.
Remove chlorine and chloramine before dosing. Turn off UV, protein skimmers, and ozone for 48 hours so the bacteria can settle on the media.
Always follow directions on product packaging.
