Product overview
The Aqua One AquaFill Automatic Top Up Unit keeps the water level steady in a tank or sump. It replaces evaporated water in small doses of fresh water so marine salinity does not creep up.
A three-float switch set stops the level falling too far and shuts the pump off if the reservoir runs dry.
Key features
-
Salinity: Tops up evaporated water so salt does not concentrate.
-
Three floats: Two in the tank/sump for the target level; one in the reservoir for an empty tank.
-
Dry-run: Cuts power to the pump if the RO reservoir is empty, so the motor is not run dry.
-
Sump: Fits a rear filter chamber or a stand-alone under-tank sump.
Switches
| Switch |
Where it goes |
| Primary and secondary floats |
Tank or sump. Pump runs when both drop below the set level. |
| Reservoir safety float |
RO / freshwater reservoir. Shuts the system down if the source is empty. |
Care and instructions
Always follow directions on product packaging.
-
Setup: Mount the primary and secondary floats at the target water line. Put the pump in a dedicated reservoir of RO or dechlorinated freshwater. Wire everything to the control box.
-
Reservoir: Never fill the top-up reservoir with saltwater. Salt does not evaporate; topping up with saltwater will raise salinity.
-
Checks: Inspect floats weekly for salt creep or algae. Clean the pump impeller at least once a month.
