Ocean Nutrition frozen foods are flash-frozen at the source. The cubes keep amino acids, vitamins, and other nutrients that are often lost when food is processed.

They are highly digestible, so fish produce less waste, and they avoid the parasite risk that comes with live food.

Frozen delivery only. This product must stay frozen the whole way. It cannot go by standard parcel post. Choose the insulated frozen courier at checkout, or click and collect in store.

Key features

  • Flash-frozen at the source to hold nutrients
  • About 95% digestibility, so more of the food is absorbed and less waste is left in the tank
  • Bio-sterilised to remove parasites, bacteria, and hitchhikers found in live foods
  • 100 g packs for everyday feeding, plus larger flat packs on selected foods

Water and system compatibility

Freshwater and marine/reef. Use the formula that matches your livestock.

Formulas & pack size

Formula Pack sizes Notes
Marine quintet 100 g Five-in-one pack with artemia, red plankton, squid, and krill. Best for marine tanks with a mix of reef and fish-only livestock.
Tropical quintet 100 g Five-in-one pack with bloodworms, brine shrimp, daphnia, and more. Best for freshwater community tanks, including tetras, barbs, bettas, and livebearers.
Squid 100 g Chopped whole squid with natural taurine. Best for large predatory freshwater fish, pufferfish, triggers, and marine carnivores.
Artemia (brine shrimp) 100 g Whole brine shrimp. A high-protein food that most marine and freshwater fish take readily. Feed it as part of a mixed diet.
Artemia with spirulina and garlic 100 g Brine shrimp with spirulina and garlic. Spirulina adds plant content for colour, and garlic helps tempt fussy eaters. Freshwater and marine.
Aussie discus food 100 g A rich formula made for discus. Also suits other soft-water cichlids, such as angels and rams.

Directions

  1. Pop out the cubes you need into a small feeding cup.
  2. Thaw at room temperature for 10–15 minutes. Do not rinse the cubes or thaw them in warm water. That dissolves the gel binders that hold the nutrients.
  3. Pour the thawed food into a current, or target-feed invertebrates with a pipette.
  4. Feed 2 to 3 times a day. Offer only what livestock can finish within 5 minutes, and remove leftovers.

Always follow directions on product packaging.
