The Whitecheek Tang, or Goldrim Tang, reaches a Max Size of 21 cm. It is very similar to the Powder Brown but is distinguished by its darker charcoal body and a smaller white mark solely under the eye. It features a bright yellow-to-gold rim along the base of its dorsal and anal fins. This species is historically considered more difficult to keep than the Powder Brown, as it is very sensitive to parasites and shipping stress. It requires a high-flow, stable environment with a constant supply of high-quality vegetable matter.
